Share Original Photos Without Resizing Them

Choose the actual originals, keep a collection together, and check format compatibility and photo metadata.

Begin with the originals you mean to send

Sharing a photo as a file is useful when the recipient needs it for printing, editing, or keeping an original copy. JustSeconds uploads the selected file without an image-resizing or recompression step. That preserves the file you selected; it does not reconstruct an original from a smaller copy.

Check where the photo came from. A file saved from a message, a screenshot of a photo, or an edited export may differ from the image in the camera folder. If you want to send an edited version, select that export intentionally. If you want the camera original, locate that original in your device’s storage or export it from the photo service that holds it.

One image or an entire collection?

For a single photograph, use Click to add your files and choose that image. For a collection on a computer, make a folder containing the intended photos, then use or add a folder or create a ZIP in your file manager.

A ZIP keeps file names and the included folder structure together. It does not turn the collection into an online gallery, and the recipient needs to download and extract the archive. JPEG and other already compressed images may not become much smaller when zipped.

For a client delivery, organize by a meaningful distinction such as final selections and print exports. Include a small readme if the recipient needs instructions about versions. Avoid mixing the final collection with rejected images, private notes, or unrelated photos.

What the mobile folder option selects

The current mobile folder option opens a multi-select picker for photos and videos. This can package a small selection in one ZIP, but it does not behave like a desktop folder tree. Your phone and browser control what the picker offers.

For a large album or a folder that also contains PDFs and other documents, prepare a ZIP with a file manager and upload that ZIP as a file, or use a computer. The browser must hold and package the selected items during ZIP preparation, so a large collection can take time or strain device memory.

Preserving a file also preserves its metadata

An original photo may include details such as the capture date, camera information, and location coordinates. Because the uploader does not rewrite the image, do not assume those details will be removed. Review location and other metadata before sharing if they matter for your privacy.

If you remove metadata or export a privacy-edited copy on your own device, verify that copy and upload it instead. Choose file names that do not disclose personal details. Transfer passwords control downloading, but a transfer’s file name and size can still appear on its page.

Check image format with the recipient

Receiving the original file and being able to open it are separate questions. Some devices create image formats that another recipient’s preferred app may not open. RAW files may require photography software, while a recipient who only needs a quick view may prefer an exported JPEG.

Tell the recipient which formats are in the delivery. When they need both editing files and easy previews, place clearly labeled versions in the collection. JustSeconds does not automatically convert image formats or create preview copies for you.

Send and verify the collection

  1. Check the final selection and the total size. Guests have a combined 5 GB allowance over the preceding 24 hours; free accounts have 50 GB.
  2. Log in first if you want a password or a longer expiration. Set those options before selecting the file or folder.
  3. Upload and wait for the completion screen. Folder preparation happens before network uploading.
  4. Copy the completed link and tell the recipient the archive name, included formats, and download deadline.
  5. Ask them to download, extract if needed, and open a sample full-resolution image.

Compare the downloaded sample with your selected original if the delivery needs careful verification. A file manager can show the size; an image application can show dimensions. The service has no image-compression step, but the sender still needs to choose the correct source files.

Keep a separate copy

Guest transfers last 7 days and registered transfers up to 30 days. JustSeconds is a temporary handoff, not a permanent photo library or backup. Keep your originals and ask the recipient to save the collection somewhere they control before the link expires.
